We have to get behind Jake!

We absolutely don't. Republicans in light Dem clothing can run appropriately.

Agreed. If we can find that Republican we will get behind that person too. Our political system requires a whole sale change.

I just looked at your profile and you don’t even live in the district or state! That makes me very happy because I don’t have to bother to debate you since you don’t have a vote.

He’s a cunning fence straddler but his ultimate proclivities are rooted in his traditional Republican origins. A smart Democrat could read the room. The party is failing because it’s been centrist and Israel focused for a very long time. Who won in 2025? Not centrists and not Republicans.

Stop talking and complaining and pointing a finger in one direction and making lists...do something. Enough with the talk and preaching.

Corruption is America's biggest problem.

Not affordabilty.

The corruption has caused the affordability crisis and you are correct, we have to stop the corruption in order to fix the affordability crisis. Jake is pro-corruption and proves that by touting the Koch Network leading propagandist of the “Abundance movement”

We have caught up completely in the last year. It hasn't reached every level of government, but the Trump Administration is all about pay-for-play, pay-for pardons, and everything for my friends and the law for everyone else.

Trump and family have made over $5 billion since taking office. How are you doing?

Jake's doing great. Sitting on a huge war chest of donations despite running unopposed for 2 cycles. He's working on behalf of his mom and Israel and his real estate donors and enjoying his Newton life while ignoring most of D4 and the immigrants in our district. He is not like us.

This is a word salad that has no substance. I’ll give you 6 resolutions that every Democrat should have on their list.

1. Universal healthcare

2. Break up monopolies

3. Regulate Wall Street/ Financial Institutions

4. Tax the rich and corporations

And the next two are honoring your vote to condemn socialism, so these should be easy for you being against socialism

5. End Corporate Welfare & Subsidies

6. End ALL funding to the Socialist State of Israel!

What hard work? He did a lot for Israel, took all of the breaks Johnson afforded him, hasn't paid much attention to ICE or the detainment center atrocities, and provided no voice in the House. He visited a lot of right wing media outlets and catered his message accordingly. He is not for the people.

No one deserves to lose the primary more than you. You aren't paying attention to the people, you are paying attention to talking heads and donors. So disgusted that you can't talk about restoring faith in institutions or prioritize decency, integrity, and collaboration. You cater to the right but want votes from the left. You have failed us repeatedly and I am going to work hard to ensure you don't get another chance. If you get another 2 years - they will be your last. We deserve actual representation, not this centrist slop that caters to law enforcement and corporations over people. That's old school Republican - go back to your roots and try to compete from the platform you actually back.

With regards to your resolution "5. Be able to say two things MAGA’s gotten right and two things Democrats have gotten wrong. To earn a governing majority, Democrats need to win over independents who agree with the president on some issues. If we are reflexively & rigidly partisan, we lose credibility."

Sir, I am a patient individual who is losing patience with you as his Representative; what follows is from one of my essays published this past October you would do well to read it and give its thesis the serious consideration it deserves:

"Unlimited tolerance can destroy tolerance itself.

The story of every failed republic begins the same way—well-intentioned citizens saying, “Let us give them a platform.”

But those who seek power through resentment use that stage not for dialogue, but for domination.

Once intolerance is permitted to masquerade as an equal voice, it consumes the space where reason once stood.

Soon, the tolerant find themselves silenced—and with them, the freedom they hoped to preserve."

Happy New Year Jake, thank you for the substack and for the representation!

Words to consider when addressing the electorate:

ARE YOU INVESTED?

ARE YOU FULLY INVESTED?

ARE YOU FULLY INVESTED IN THE SUCCESS OF THESE UNITED STATES BY FULLY INVESTING IN IT'S PEOPLE?

This puts the General Welfare back front and center (which imo is the root problem) along with healthcare, education, wars (Venezuela), security, gun control, job training, housing, environment, economic fairness and freedom, free speech, democratic norms etc.

It's one thing to care, it's another to be FULLY INVESTED.

Makes a good slogan too ;-)

A mutual friend of ours has suggested piloting your Majority Dems approach in our ruby-red state’s campaigns this year. He’s got a good point. Our policies and strategy are very aligned.

He can run in your area. Majority Dems is just old school Republicans and everything that brought us to the point we are at currently. So Reagan. So not Democrat.

The Democrats have to learn that this is a big, diverse country. They need one or two national issues like affordable healthcare, housing, and hamburger. Then they can link corruption to the Epstein cover-up, and how the rich get protected while Black and Hispanic people get zip-tied and dragged off to prison without a hearing.

Everything after that has to be different for each district. Some urban districts need to be more left, midwest need to be very centrist. Whoever runs in the district needs to show that they know the issues of that district, and are not tied dogmatically to a monolithic party.

The Democrats know that this is a big, diverse country. The GOP caters to one group. Jake wants to continue to coddle the angry white men of the USA because they are the only ones who will buy his bs. The rest of us have our eyes open.

Who has been winning up and down in 2025? Not Republicans. Not stats quo Dems.

Jake clearly doesn't understand his district - it's broader than Newton and Tel Aviv.

Good suggestions. I would change Financial Freedom to Financial Security. The former is perhaps more aspirational, but it's also more abstract. Security implies stability and safety, providing the ability to sleep at night. I suspect many people wouldn't quite know what to do with financial freedom.

Makes abundant sense. In the current Sisyphean climate that may be an obstacle. Hopefully at some point a rationale approach to governing prevails and the Vince McMahon WWE approach to governing gets the sleeper hold/ring toss. Best of health and happiness to all colors, faiths, political parties, economic status, country of origin etc. as we enter the New Year.
