Do you want to know what the Drug Smugglers did before we started shooting at them to make them stop? They hid their faces so we couldn't take their pictures. That isn't how you "win" a war. In those days we only "caught" about 5% of the drugs coming into our country. The DEA kept track of our effectiveness by measuring the street value of the drugs that made it through...which was about 95%. for that I missed 2 of my daughter's first 4 years. I think using "Blood for Oil" in this situation is not helping. I've read that the oil tanker had been operating illegally. It's seizure may look like a good thing to many Americans. Especially Americans who are currently trying to process whether or not they made a mistake voting for Trump. Trump is at his most appealing when he accomplishes something others have not accomplished. Condemning something like this, that many Americans might think of as a good thing, will weaken your position not enhance it. I'm sure when the midterm elections happen and at the rate the media is working to insure the Republican Party and Trump have little power in 2027, the Democrats and you will fix all that you talk about in these sunstack posts...And especially blood for oil will not happen and health insurance subsidies will be not only be extended , but Obama Care subsidies will increase significantly in 2027 and we will have a Democrat President next who will correct all that Trump has done, reducing the Republican Party to a do-nothing Party. Oil is behind it all, not only the oil deposits in Venezuela but include those in the greater Caribbean basin wich includes Trinidad Guyana and Suriname. This oil is in our backyard, easily accessible from the United States as opposed to the difficulty from the Middle East. Preventing access by China who desperately needs sources oil is the reason for our fleet of ships and troops. China produces only a small fraction of the oil it needs and does not like being reliant on Russian oil. The die is cast and China is being warned not to meddle in our backyard.
